Northside Takes the Win!

Team Rainbow Racers brought home another win! Congratulations to  Abbey Crenshaw, Irelyn Smith, Lochlan McLaurin, and Cullen McGhee.  These student won Oconee County District Jet Toy Engineering competition sending them to the Regional Competition on Friday, March 8th. These competitors faced some stiff competition but still came out on top. We are so proud of you! 
 

Regional Science Fair Competition

Northside fourth and fifth graders worked hard conducting science experiments and school winners were recognized on February 14th. Those winners moved on to the regional science fair competition hosted by Southern Wesleyan  University on Friday, March 9th. We are proud of our students under the leadership of Laura Land. The following students placed at the regional fair. 

1st place: Behavioral & Social Sciences - Madison Owens

2nd place: Elementary Chemistry - Grant Duvall & Noah Odom

1st Place: Elementary Chemistry - Emily Pipes

1st Place: Elementary Physics - J.P.Dolfis

3rd Place: Elementary Physics -Tyler Johnson

1st Place: Team Physics -Thomas Evatt & Bracken Nations                                                     


Future Chef Competition

 Congratulations to Caydence Walker for winning first runner-up in the Future Chef Competition held at Blue Ridge Elementary on Thursday, March 14th. 
Amanda Burnside served as Caydence's sous chef. They worked side by side to make Caydence's winning recipe. We are so proud of this accomplishment.

South Carolina College and Career Ready Standards for All Grades

Our teachers and students are challenged with meeting the South Carolina College and Career Ready Standards for each grade level. Meeting these standards indicates that a student is on grade level. As a parent, you are a partner in your child's education. Please use the link below to explore the standards for your child(ren)'s grade level.  Feel free to contact your administrative team or their teacher if you have questions about the standards.

Students will have the following days as school HOLIDAYS this Year: 
  • Sept. 3rd - Labor Day Holiday
  • October 23rd - Teacher In-Service - No school for students
  • November 5th - Teacher In-Service - No school for students
  • November 6th - Election Day
  • November 21 - 23 - Thanksgiving Break
  • December 21 - Jan. 2 - Christmas Break
  •  January 21st - Martin Luther King Day
  •  February 15th - Teacher In-Service Day - No school for students
  • April 15th - 19th - Spring Break
  • May 27th - Memorial Day
